yesterday morning, i did what everybody else had done or was preparing to do: i updated the iOS on my phone.
for a whole thirteen hours, i enjoyed the new software, got to know it.
then the thirteenth hour came.
you know those horror stories you’ve heard, or maybe experienced, with the coming of a new iPhone software update? they are the reason i updated my phone yesterday.
you know, to iOS 6.
you read that right. it took me a whole dang year to update my phone to iOS 6 even though i bought my 4s the very day iOS 6 came out. i have dealt with that stupid notification sitting on the top right corner of my settings app for an entire year.
as though updating to iOS 6 weren’t enough a demonstration of my brand of terribly timid bravery, thirteen hours into having it, i hit “install now” on iOS 7 and told twitter i would be rocking back and forth in a corner preparing for a nuclear meltdown.
surprise, surprise: my phone went through two iOS updates in one day and to my knowledge thus far has not lost even a smidgen of data.
