i hate facebook, my email is overflowing, and i’m up past midnight.
needless to say, life is going on as usual.
for those of you who recently switched to bloglovin and want to follow me there, you can do so here. and that’s all i have to say about that google reader/gfc/bloglovin business.
except to say blogger/google have said a lot of things that have never happened, or taken forever to happen, like that time they told me for like seven months that the old blogger dashboard was going away forever in april and they did nothing to my account until october. so there’s that.
i spent last week doing floor set at the store and went to GR for the weekend friday and saturday. it was a good week and i had a good time on the west side. it was weird driving the same roads i used to drive every day just last summer. living in GR feels like it was part of a different life, like i was a completely different person when it happened.
i’ve been trying to read more lately, except the book i’m currently in the middle of is the mermaid chair by susan monk kidd and it is killing me. it’s just slow. i’ve read books with that lethargy of pace before and i’m not disliking it so far, but in terms of reading material, it’s just not cutting it right now.
it’s not quite madame de staël, but it’s getting close.
i’ve been reading suspense fiction instead and that is far more enjoyable right now, although no book is quite hitting the spot right now. that’s okay. not every book will.
life is going well right now, and that’s usually something i take for granted, but right now i’m breathing in the calm and deeply thankful.
