It’s two months exactly until I turn 24, so I thought there was no better day of this month to write about how much I love celebrating these.
Birthdays to me are like federal holidays. You shouldn’t work or do homework on your birthday (unless absolutely necessary). You should have a relaxed, fun day with your favorite people.
In my family, birthdays usually mean dinner out followed by presents at home.
The year I turned 22, my mom coordinated a birthday surprise at Olive Garden, which I figured out before we even got there, thanks to my dad asking about a reservation for eight.

The next year, my brother turned 20 and got this jacket. LOVE. (Even though their record is terrible this year.)
|The first thing he said when he put this on was, “There’s so much room for snacks!”|
My family doesn’t have a lot of traditions for just the four of us, so I’ve always loved our birthday routine.
What’s your family birthday tradition?
