I just added a couple things to my blog–a more comprehensive list of labels and a verse underneath my header.
Philippians 4:13 has been my favorite verse for years now, and so when I was thinking about putting a quote underneath my header earlier today, I figured it would make the most sense if I put the verse that has sustained me through many a minor life crisis. It’s in Spanish because I am half-Hispanic.
I journaled for about an hour and a half yesterday and although I felt that half of it was useless randomness, I considered the fact that it adds a unique flavor to my journal since it’s very reflective of my personality. I had some more introspective things to say, too, though (thank goodness! haha), so it wasn’t all what I consider somewhat worthless. I rehashed my theory on brutal honesty, too, with a slight and more personal twist than what I blogged about last fall.
The past two days have been busy but simultaneously laidback. Kelsey had a swim meet at home against Findlay University yesterday so Steph and I went to that. Kelsey did amazing. I am super proud to be her roomie! 😀 I joined her family for dinner afterwards at a pizzeria just down the street from campus, and then we came back here and relaxed for the rest of the evening. This morning we went to the worship service on campus, and came back to our room to do homework and relax. We just ate dinner with our friend Katie, who made us some delicious tacos. Katie is a vegetarian, and so she made the tacos with diced veggie burgers, which made yours truly, who could probably live on hamburgers and steak alone, understandably nervous. But, they were delicious.
I did my homework proactively today and am actually finished. Yay! I’ll head out now, probably to catch up reading on the blogs I follow and checking out some other stuff. I don’t spend too much time on the Internet anymore, since I deactivated my Facebook account Wednesday night. I’m going on five days without it! It’s quite liberating. I promise.
