So, this is the part of the day where I ramble about a bunch of different things. (Warning: TV spoilers ahead. You’ve been duly informed.)
White Collar: Are. You. Serious? What happened?! I am not a fan of exploding planes. Nor am I a fan of the fact that Kate has pretty much been the driving force of this entire series so far and she’s now apparently dead. Not okay. And the fact that the show is going on hiatus for a couple months, because yesterday was the season finale? Unacceptable. There had better be a darn good explanation for this madness come July or whenever the season picks back up again. Oh, and Fowler? What is your problem? Leave the Burkes alone. THANK YOU.
American Idol: Girls, I think you could have done a little better. Personally. Although I have to applaud the fact that you get up in front of millions of people every week and sing. I doubt I’ll ever know what that feels like, so, kudos. Boys, let’s please do well tonight.
Psych: Right now all I’ve got to say is you better be a ton better than last week’s episode but I think I could do without as large a cliffhanger as “White Collar” left us with.
Sleep: Hi. My name’s Annie. Let’s be friends.
Digital Scrapbooking: I think you’ve taken over my life. Slash not really. But seriously, is there a Scrapbookers Anonymous out there somewhere? “Hi, I’m Annie and I like to scrapbook digitally.” How I kind of wish I could do this for real. But that would require about a thousand more supplies and about a thousand more dollars. And the initiative on my part to go get prints of pictures instead of simply uploading them to my computer and then Facebook. Speaking of which….
Facebook: I hate you so much sometimes. Yet I’m always logged in. Why are you so blasted addicting?
Sanctus Real: You’re a rock band. I don’t know if you forgot that or something; either way, I thought I’d remind you. While I did indeed buy your album, and while it does indeed sound (from the thirty second samples on iTunes since I am waiting for your album to arrive in my mailbox) good, you have failed to put even just one rock anthem on there. I would be remiss in my duty as a good customer if I did not inform you I’m disappointed. That’s all.
Adie: Your album also sounds good. However, I’m awaiting the rock album you’ve promised your fan base on your interview with Jessica Turner. The end.
Glasses: I hate them. I wore them all day yesterday and only realized the pinnacle of their ability to irritate when I noticed the top of my ear, upon which the frame leans, was killing me.
Prepositions: Once I realized it wasn’t good grammar to end a sentence with a preposition, my brain subconsciously vowed to never put one there again. Unfortunately for simplicity but fortunately for my OCD concerning grammar, this results in clauses like “upon which the frame leans,” even though the general tone of my voice is casual and colloquial.
On majoring in English: Generally, when the last thing I want to do is bore you by analyzing my own language, that’s what I end up doing. This, especially when combined with my superpower bad habit of overanalyzing everything, is never a good thing. I apologize for that.
Reading: The amount of reading I have accomplished in the last four days pales greatly compared to the amount of reading I could have accomplished. If this reading drought lasts much longer I’m afraid I may need to ask what a book is. Oh, snap…
Cleaning: Yay! Something I can feel accomplished about! Except, my room looks the same as it did yesterday. Hmm. Funny. Oh, I know. I only pretended I cleaned to make myself feel better about the fact that I didn’t. Well, I’ll just take care of that tomorrow.
And on a final note:
To my best friend sister roommate: I hope you have an amazing birthday! I am so glad God has brought us together, first as roommates and then as friends. It is such a blessing to know you; to trust and be trusted by you. We have been through quite a bit these past seven months (has it been that long already?!) but we’ve been blessed to see our friendship adapt and grow because of and/or in spite of that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
**Kelsey is also swimming at nationals in Ohio this week so if you would keep her in your thoughts and prayers, I’m a thousand percent sure she’d appreciate it.
**”Happy birthday Kelsey” was made with digital scrap elements from the Journey 365 Jumbo scrapbook kit at Scrap Orchard.
