I am not a monthly goals person. To be honest, I’m not really a goals person, period. I’ve always wondered how people set small goals for their months because I don’t really think in steps like that.
This month, I thought I’d try to change that a little.
This is my first time making monthly goals and I’m also having my wisdom teeth out and traveling this month, so I’m only going to set three goals. I want to make sure I start with a manageable list.
one • Save $300 for the Influence Conference
This is kind of an easy one because I transfer this money out of my checking account and into my savings as soon as possible on payday. But because it isn’t automated, I want to be sure it’s something on which I keep myself accountable.
two • Take a weekend trip to St. Joseph
My friend and I discussed a quick jaunt across the state last night and both of us were thrilled with the idea of spending a few days on the beach in west Michigan. This’ll be a stretch, but it’s doable.
three • Catch up on laundry / Clean out my closet
I’ve done a pretty good job of weeding through my clean clothes, donating what doesn’t fit or I don’t like and throwing away clothes are ripped or damaged, but I need to do this with the rest of them, except they’re dirty. So I need to actually buckle down and do my laundry so I can finish clearing out my closet and start deciding what needs to come in my wardrobe to round it out professionally.
I’ll be at home most of this week recovering from having my wisdom teeth out, and provided it’s not too painful a process, I think I can knock a good chunk of my laundry out.
What kind of goal setter are you? Have you set any goals for the month?
