alexander the great.
i’ve written about all three of those topics, all under academic duress. and it so happens that when you are, under the academic standard, constrained to write about something, your resultant irritation will extend not only to the object about which you write, but the writing itself.
a beautiful ordinary commented yesterday with an important question regarding my post on following the calling set before you. she asked, “how do you find joy in your work when you’re at your wits’ end?”
but before i give you my thoughts, what do you think? how do we find joy in the areas that can and do bring us great frustration?
i’ll be thinking about my own response to this question, and bring it to you in a couple days. in the meantime, i look forward to hearing yours.
