I get hungry a lot, hungry enough for a full meal rather than just a snack. It’s quite unfortunate. And so I have decided that whenever I get this hungry (which is often, and occurs regularly within about four hours of dinner and breakfast and occasionally lunch. It’s absurd), I might as well just eat a full meal.
This rule applies to any time of day. For instance, the time when Katie and I got hungry at midnight and decided to make pasta? Perfectly acceptable. And so is the other time I easily recall, probably about as late, when I decided I was hungry and going to make pasta, offered to make it for my roommates and our friend Megan, and ended up cooking five servings’ worth. Great experiences, both of them. And I ordinarily hate cooking. Ha!
