I haven’t participated in any blog hops for a while, but today that’s changing. :]
I wouldn’t go so far as to call my blog topic of choice momentous, but that’s only because that sounds to me like a word alluding to much grander things.
Well, maybe dragging me into nature is a grand accomplishment…
The joke is that I, being born and raised in the suburbs, cannot handle being in the woods. I managed it quite nicely, thank you very much. It’s not that I don’t appreciate nature, but it’s not exactly the easiest thing to do when you’re surrounded by more concrete and brick than trees and flowers.
At one point we saw a broken-down building off the trail and ran over to see what it was. It ended up being an outhouse.
I love the above picture. I think Kels took it as she was running and I just love that parts are in focus, parts are out of focus, and there is neither rhyme nor reason to which are and which aren’t.
I loved walking around the woods with Kelsey and Kati. It was a good afternoon to remember the blessings of friendship and appreciate the beauty of the outdoors. I don’t think we are thankful enough for these two phenomena.
