So. You found out you could afford Influence. You broke down how you’d do it. You broke down what means you’d use to pay. And you know why I care that you’re coming.
How’d you do?
I (technically) exceeded my goal by $110. This is what my portion of the hotel cost. I pulled the funds from my Influence account but repaid the funds from my next paycheck, so my Influence account was at $750, as planned, last Thursday.
I did end up borrowing off my savings a few times as I was building it for other things (i.e. moving; I decided the last week of August that the weekend before Influence would be a great time to move). I repaid these promptly but it’s still irritating to know I had to do it. However, to quote Lara Casey, “Done is better than perfect.” Y’all, I’m done saving. It’s pretty crazy.
That process behind us… Who am I going to see TOMORROW?!
I’ll post again about a week from now to give you a look at how my 2014 Influence budget worked in actuality. Just in case you were wondering what the spending breakdown turns out to be!
